Troncones
Forty minutes by car north of Ixtapa, on a beautiful shoreline, lies the modest and quiet town of Trancones.
Our friends, Jerry and Diane, from Wisconsin, own a car here and had hoped to take us to Troncones last year but some urgent matter got in the way. So they took us there today instead. Jerry, by the way, has long worked with the LDC in building Kingdom Halls in the USA.
We arrived at The Majahua Palms Restaurant in time for lunch. Photos follow ...
After taking photos, my path back to our table was freshly obstructed by this critter who had chosen his cool spot for a siesta. I considered stepping by him instead of detouring around other furniture but Jerry reminded me of the saying, "Let sleeping dogs lie." I reconsidered and detoured.

This restaurant also has some cabins on its property,
but as you can see it is hardly super-populated.

Leaving The Majahua Palms Restaurant, our next destination was "The Garden of Eden," another restaurant that aims to revive the weathered human organism with ingeniously blended vegetable juices. The result is served as a tall glass of cool green liquid.
Jerry and me in The Garden of Eden.
Again, this remote restaurant with pleasant and spacious grounds near the beach had few clients while we were there. And we were there for a couple of hours enjoying rich conversation in comfortable, Edenic surroundings, and all for the price of a glass of juice.
Leaving the area we encountered this sign installed at the initiative of a pet owner ...
Altogether an enjoyable day of relaxation and exploration in the delightful company of Jerry and Diane whom we had not seen since last year. We're very happy they're back.

Troncones is part of our congregation territory as a number of wealthy Americans have built homes in this unspoiled area. Service is done here once a month. My chicken sopas and detox juice was delicious. 😋 Very appropriately, those trees are called fan palms.
